A steward is an overseer, manager, or caretaker for someone or something. The definition of stewardship is the management of something entrusted to one’s care. Here’s what the Lord’s given me so far on the subject of stewardship. I want to have the qualities of a good steward evident in my life, and I’m sure you do too. If one area is being stewarded poorly, the other areas suffer too. That means I have to have good time management skills as well. If I’m going to steward my talent, treasure, and the truth well, then I have to first take care of my health so I have the ability and energy I need.
